For the fifth consecutive year, Churchill Mortgage has been recognized as a “Top Workplace” by The Tennessean. Companies are judged by positive employee feedback.
“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest. And oftentimes, people assume it’s all about fancy perks and benefits,” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day — the employees.”
Churchill remains dedicated to providing its employees with significant benefits and the best work experience possible. The lender is now in the fourth year of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), which allows employees to benefit from the value of annual allocations of stock in the parent company, providing them with a long-term retirement investment. In addition, Churchill provides its employees with courses and other resources designed to facilitate continuous learning, expanding its mortgage professionals’ knowledge of the industry and equipping each one with the tools needed to provide borrowers with exemplary service.
“My personal success is directly attributable to the support I receive from our team here in Brentwood,” said Michael Brown, senior loan officer for Churchill Mortgage. “I love working for this company! Through our work, we educate families on how to create a Smarter Mortgage Plan and achieve debt-free homeownership by saving money and building wealth.”
“Working at Churchill Mortgage is really like being part of a family. We prioritize people over profit and the top leaders not only embrace a model of servant leadership, but truly practice it every day,” said Kathy Cook, closing department manager. “Churchill provides the education and tools we need to do our jobs to the best of our ability, and working for a debt-free company provides a sense of security that few other workplaces offer.”
“Churchill’s recognition as a top workplace for a fifth year is an outstanding achievement and can be attributed to our team’s support of our employees and to Tennessee’s economic growth,” said Mike Hardwick, president of Churchill Mortgage. “We are so proud of our employees’ hard work and perseverance that lead us to our success. With them, we’re able to continue expanding and leading communities nationwide to achieve their home-buying goals.”
The Tennessean published the complete list of Top Workplaces on June 25, 2017.
